Betrayal Trauma

Betrayal trauma occurs when someone we trust deeply-such as a partner, family member, or close friend violates that trust in a significant way. This type of trauma can leave lasting emotional, mental, and relational wounds, often resulting in feelings of confusion, shame, fear, or questioning your worth. Healing from betrayal trauma involves finding a safe space to process the pain, rebuild your sense of trust, and rediscover your own strength and resilience. As a trained partner trauma therapist we can walk through this journey together.

Individual Therapy

Burnout

Burnout can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to keep going. Individual therapy provides a space to slow down, understand what is contributing to your exhaustion, and begin creating a healthier way forward.

Together, we’ll explore the patterns, pressures, boundaries, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck in survival mode. Using a trauma-informed and brain-health approach, therapy can help you regulate your nervous system, restore balance, reconnect with yourself, and develop sustainable rhythms for work and life.

You don’t have to keep pushing until you break. Healing can begin by learning to rest, restore, and rebuild.

Trauma and Grief

Trauma and grief can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. At The Well Counseling, we provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to help you process painful experiences and losses, regulate difficult emotions, and begin rebuilding a sense of safety, hope, and wholeness. At The Well Counseling helps you move from shame and grief, and rebuild a stronger sense of safety, identity, and wholeness.

Brain Health

Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all influenced by the brain’s wiring and how it responds to stress and experiences. Counseling for brain health focuses on understanding these patterns, regulating the nervous system, and developing strategies that support mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall well-being.

Identity work

Shame can create false narratives about who you are, leaving you stuck in self-doubt, fear, or hiding your true self. Identity work helps you uncover these stories, separate them from your authentic self, and build self-acceptance, confidence, and resilience.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk-and-Talk is a form of psychotherapy while walking outdoors in public places. I offer walk-and-talk sessions as an optional treatment modality. Walk and talk therapy combines exercise with psychotherapy, offering a an alternative to traditional sessions. Movement during therapy may help clients relax, open up, and think more creatively. Walking side-by-side, especially outdoors, can also help from feeling "stuck" and be more present.
